We met on a rainy Tuesday in October 2021, both reaching for the last copy of the same obscure novel at Powell's Books in Portland. What started as a friendly debate about who deserved it more turned into coffee, then dinner, then a walk through the city that lasted until sunrise.

Four years, two apartments, one pandemic, countless adventures, and one very patient golden retriever later, Tyler proposed during a sunset hike in Big Sur — the same trail where we took our first trip together.
